It is really very easy to keep your eyes healthy by eating healthy. There is no food that can kill your sight but yes there are a few things that we can eat to survive longer with a good eyesight. It is very important to know what is good and healthy when it comes to one of the most sensitive parts of your body. There are a lot of ways to improve your eyesight which include giving them proper rest.  Exercising your eyes, taking breaks from watching too much on a screen or reading books. In this article, we are going to see that how can we help our eyes keep vital and healthy in long run.

1. Eating Green vegetables:

The healthiest way to make your eyes healthy is by giving them sufficient amount of proteins and nutrients.  What else can be better than green vegetables in that regards? Green leafy vegetables such as spinach, collard greens, broccoli, and kale are known to avoid loss of vision. They’re full to capacity with Vitamins including Vitamin A, B12, C and also a good amount of calcium. Your best bet to save your eyes for long is meeting up to all these and is to eat as many leafy greens per day as possible. Moreover, you should make sure not to overcook them as overcooking will kill their nutritious value and thus they can lose some of their valuable nutrients which wouldn’t be helpful.\

2. Eggs:

Known to be one of the best sources of proteins, is the egg. For having a wonderful eyesight you can start your day off with an egg or two to keep your vision in a good health for a long time. Eggs contain a decent amount of protein that is beneficial to the lens of your eye. Moreover, the yolk is equally good for you as it helps put off eye diseases as you age.

3. Garlic:

Now, Similarly like the eggs, garlic helps to protect the lens of your eyes and can seriously help you in protecting them against problems such as cataract and another eye disease as you grow older. Garlic really is a superfood which triggers things towards good in addition to improving your eye health. It also contributes a lot to lower your cholesterol, which in return give a healthier immune system and it is also known to increased blood flow to your body. Isn’t that good? Yeah! Indeed.

4. Carrot:

5. Fish:

Now, this is well known to people and it is really true. One of the best sources of proteins for your eyes is the fish. Fish and Salmon, tuna, in particular, contains healthy omega-3 which is a fatty acid. This is which are found in the retina and keeps it lubricated when you shut your eyes for a fraction of the second. The Omega-3s have one more healthy purpose and it is well known for enhancement of your brain power. This indirectly leads to a better vision. But if you’re not a fan of fish then there is still some hope you can take fish oil pills from the medicine shop for similar results.
