Home Remedies for Typhoid

One of the deadly diseases that can happen to humans is Typhoid. There are many ways that you can tackle and win over this disease and but the best ones also include a few homemade remedies. These are those which can be made and help the sufferer treat in the home only. Actually, this disease affects the liver, lymph nodes, spleens, gall-bladder, and some main parts of the body. The symptoms of typhoid that you can be alert for include fever, diarrhea, sometimes skin rashes, weakness, bleeding nose, chills, headache, and loss of appetite. In some cases, a sore throat, delirium, blood in stool, lethargy, constipation, and abdominal pain can also lead to Typhoid. You need to be very cautious in these cases and all you need to do is consult the doctor as soon as possible. Sometime, if you are unable to reach to a doctor then you should just take up a few preservation steps by yourself at home.

In this article, we are going to discuss a few remedies that are really effective for those who are suffering from typhoid.  The list is down under:

1. ORS

 This is no ordinary ORS; here we are talking about the homemade ORS. Oral Hydration Solution or ORS is a very helpful tool which prevents things from deteriorating. It is easy to make and very effective, the simplest way to get a solution for you is by, adding 6 teaspoons of sugar and ½ teaspoon of salt in 4 cups of water. One should drink it several times until you recover completely. This has a medicinal value and increases the pace of recovery.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar 

ACV or Apple Cider Vinegar helps you to reduce the high body temperature. Moreover, it is very energizing and replenishes all the minerals and vital nutrients that are lost due to Typhoid. If you add a little honey to ½ teaspoon of apple cider vinegar it will be better in taste and honey makes it healthier. It is preferred to drink it before having your meals.

3. Buttermilk 

Buttermilk is an easy way to digest your food and it also prevents dehydration in your body. One can keep drinking glass of buttermilk for faster recovery and if you are unable to control the situation. You can also add some fresh coriander juice to your buttermilk, to increase its effectiveness.

4. Cloves 

The essential oils in cloves are completely loaded with antibacterial properties which can be vital against the bacterial effect of typhoid. Thus, it helps to ward off the bacteria that cause typhoid. Cloves are also helpful in reducing the symptoms like diarrhea and vomiting. For that, you should boil 5-6 clove buds in 8-9 cups of water until it reduces to half. Cover it up and allow it to cool down. Strain and drink it several times a day to make a regular going for at least one week.

5. Garlic

Garlic is known to be a very good ingredient to improve the immunity system. Its antimicrobial property fights off the bacteria causing typhoid. Eat 2 garlic grains daily for a week and it will surely give you some relief, or else add ½ teaspoon of crushed garlic to a mug of milk and 4 glasses of water. Then just boil it until it reduces to one-fifth of the original amount that you kept initially and drink it three times a day. It is never recommended for pregnant women and kids because it will harm them significantly.
